LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. Marion L. Clements, Jr., 84, "has gone home" on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at the Kentwood Nursing Home in Augusta, Georgia.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Morningside Baptist Church in Lincolnton, Georgia, with Rev. Dan Fernandez and Rev. Albert Stroup officiating. Interment will follow at the Lincolnton City Cemetery.
Mr. Clements was retired from the United States Army after serving his country with honor as a combat veteran during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He attained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 2 before his retirement. Mr. Clements was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and also served as a deacon while there.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mary Ann Clements; son Marion L. Clements, III, and his wife Alison, of Chadds Ford, PA; daughter-in-law Victoria Clements of Augusta, GA; son-in-law Charles Knight of Winnsboro, SC; four grandchildren, MaryAnn

Mr. Clements was predeceased by his mother, Lola Virginia Toy Roberts, his daughter, Elizabeth Ann Knight, his son, David Lee Clements, his brother, Gene Clements and a sister, Sherrill House.
