LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mrs. Mary Jo Edmunds Hamilton, 87, of 2213 Augusta Hwy. entered into rest on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at her residence. There will be a celebration of the life of Mrs. Hamilton at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Elton Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ken Partridge, Kevin Partridge, Gerald Goldman, Jr., Shane Dawkins, Jay Marshall, Jason Bailey, Wesley White and Joey Northern. Mrs. Hamilton was the daughter of the late Hubert Earl Edmunds and Nellie Shipp Edmunds. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons, Benjamin T. Goldman and wife, Cynthia of Lincolnton, Gerald E. Goldman and wife, Carol of Lincolnton and John S. Goldman and wife, Julie of North Augusta, S.C.; two daughters, Nellie G. McGee and husband, Jim of Lincolnton and Helen N. Bridges and husband, Wade of Bowman, GA.; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Mrs. Hamilton was preceded in death by her husband, William Calvin "Billy" Hamilton and her first husband, Benjamin T. Goldman. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Janis Dawkins.
