LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. George Melvin Cawley, 58, formerly of Metasville Rd. entered into rest on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Harper's Personal Care Home in Washington, Georgia. The graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Rehoboth Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Thomas Moon officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Furman Parton, Shane Lamar, Steve Cawley, Nathan Taylor, Jamie Hinton and Tommy Norman. Mr. Cawley was born December 4, 1951 in Wilkes County, Georgia to the late George Newton Cawley and the late Rosa Mae Wells Cawley. Survivors include one brother, Edward Cawley of Lincolnton; two sisters, Sarah C. Parton and husband, Stanley of Lincolnton and Brenda C. Cartledge and husband, Mack of Thomson; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews.
