LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. Michael Brent Townsend, 65, of Elberton Hwy. entered into rest on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Townsend was the son of Eddie Brooks Townsend and Violet Brooks Townsend of Greenville, S.C. He was owner and operator of Broad River Bait and Tackle Store in Lincoln County. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Pat Townsend; one son, Michael Lee Townsend and wife, Stephanie of Elberton, GA.; one daughter, Lisa Jahnke and husband, Arlon of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, Brooks, Alex, Jared, Emily and Elizbeth.
