LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mrs. Mickie Flint McGee, 67, of Clayhill Rd. left her earthly home and entered into her heavenly home on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, GA.

Mrs. McGee was the daughter of the late Walter Mitchell Flint and the late Myrtle Smalley Flint of Lincolnton. She was a former para-professional at the Lincoln County Elementary School and served as editor at the Lincoln Journal. After retirement Mickie continued her work writing a weekly column of "Dear Hearts and Gentle People" for the Lincoln Journal.  Mickie aka Kikki touched many lives with her humorous take on life's struggles and triumphs and took us back to a simpler time in life that we loved to revisit in our memories. She will be missed by all, so Mickie go rest high on that mountain your work on earth is done.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, George Alexander McGee, Jr.; two sons, Alexander Mitchell McGee of Lincolnton and Joshua George McGee and wife Amy of Flowery Branch, GA.; two precious granddaughters, Kate Ansley McGee and Abby Rose McGee; one sister, Louise Flint Rice and husband, Larry of Lincolnton; special aunt, Helen S. Parks and numerous other family members. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Teresa Booker and Gloria McClendon who took such excellent care of Mrs. McGee.

Along with her parents Mrs. McGee was also preceded in death by a brother, Richie Kimble Flint.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Lincolnton Baptist Church where Mickie was saved, baptized and married. Rev. Seaborn Dell and Rev. Tripp Goodwin will be officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Glen Matthews, Flint Matthews, Russ Matthews, David Matthews, Jack Smalley, Tom Smalley and Charles Beggs. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the YaYa's who are high school classmates of Mickie's.
