Mr. Michael Tillman "Mike" Dawson, 60, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 20, 2025 at his residence on Hwy 220.

Mr. Dawson or Mike as he was better known to his family and friends was born October 24, 1964 and the son of Wayne and Sherry Myers Dawson of Washington, GA. Mike had spent the majority of his career in construction and home building and was extremely talented with his woodworking skills.  Mike was an outdoorsman that loved  hunting and fishing or hitting the open road on his Harley. Mike was a very generous and caring person and was an amazing father and son that will be missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include one son, Michael Wayne Dawson of Lincolnton; parents, Wayne and Sherry Myers Dawson of Washington; brother, Steve Dawson of Thomson, GA; two uncles, Gary Dawson and wife, Lynda of Hamilton, GA and Tillman "Buddy" Myers of Lincolnton; one aunt, Vera Harper and husband, James of Tignall, GA; and numerous other family members.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Rees Funeral Home followed by a celebration of life service at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, with Rev. Manuel Bailey officiating at the Washington Wilkes Memorial Gardens.
