JACKSONVILLE, FL. - Mrs. Mildred D. Goldman entered into rest on Saturday, September 10, 2011. Mrs. Goldman had requested that her funeral would be a graveside service that would be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2011 at Loco Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Allen Danner officiating. Mrs. Goldman was the daughter of the late A.H. Danner and Maude Lewis Danner. She was born in Milledgeville, Georgia on May 25, 1926, but was reared in Lincoln County, Georgia and was Valedictorian of her 1943 graduating class. Mrs. Goldman earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from Georgia State College for Women that is now known as Georgia College and State University. She began her teaching career in Florida in 1947 and retired in 1980. Mrs. Goldman was a member of Highlands Baptist Church, DCREA, FREA, Order of the Eastern Star currently affiliated with America Chapter #124, Daughters of the Nile (Khem Temple #85), and Ladies of Oriental Shrine (Al-Mas Court #100). Survivors include a sister, Oleeta D. Britt of Tifton, GA.; sister-in-law, Lenora W. Danner of Lincolnton, GA. and nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Mrs. Danner was also preceded in death by her husband, John T. "Jake" Goldman, Jr.; three brothers, Theron Danner, Maynard Danner and D.T. Danner; and a sister, Edna D. Hill.
