She was known for her ability to play anything on the piano beautifully without the ability to read music. She played the piano for Midway Church and plays at the Lincoln County High School when she was a student. She was a skilled cook as well and everyone wanted her to prepare her specialty, country fried steak, for them. She lived her last seven years at NHC nursing home in North Augusta, South Carolina and was cared for by the staff that took excellent care and loved her as much as her own family. They all helped to make Mama's last year's so happy.
