Obituary

WASHINGTON, GA - Mrs. Lela Patricia "Patsy" Partridge, 81, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at the residence on Foxwood Drive with her family by her bedside.
The celebration of life service will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2022 at New Hope Baptist Church with Ms. Mary Rose Stein and Rev. Manuel Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rev.Tom Kalliokoski officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Bailey, Scotty Roberson, Tom Callaway, Owen Brantley, Jonas Brantley, Shelby Callaway, Tim Easler and Jack Smalley.
Mrs. Partridge was the daughter of the late George Glen McCurry and Mattie Maude Allen McCurry of Lincoln County. Miss Patsy was an interior designer and owner of M. Maude McCurry's Gifts and Accessories. She was also a funeral assistant for over 17 years with Rees Funeral Home, coordinating and arranging the floral designs, and ministering to grieving families after the loss of a loved one. Miss Patsy was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was ordained as the church's first female deacon.
Survivors include a daughter, Penny B. Roberson and husband, Mark Saggus of Washington; step-daughter, Mary Ellen Partridge of Evans, Ga.; son, Manuel Pierce Bailey and wife, Mercedes of Washington; three granddaughters, Patricia Bailey of Washington, Toni R.. Callaway and husband, Tom of Washington and Abby Bailey Milner; two grandsons, Jason Bailey and wife, Jessica of Tignall, Scotty Roberson and wife, Mandy of Lincolnton; two step grandsons, Owen Brantley and Jonas Brantley of Evans; nine great granddaughters; five great grandsons; five great great grandchildren; one brother, G. Pierce McCurry and wife, Jill of Dunedin, FL; a host of nieces and nephews; and two very close friends, Jack Smalley and wife, Joy. Mrs. Partridge was also preceded in death along with her parents, by her husband, Harry Partridge; two sons, Patrick Bailey and Herbie Bailey, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Mary Bailey; son-in-law, Rodney Roberson; six sisters and four brothers.
