LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mrs. Rachel Holloway Haynes, 90, of 2372 Ashmore Barden Rd. entered into rest on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at her residence. The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Double Branches Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Keith Etheridge officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Doug Bohler, Steve Wall, Russell Reese, J.C. Ashmore, Wayne Tankersley and John Haynes. Mrs. Haynes was the daughter of the late Henry Morgan Holloway and the late Pauline Burns Holloway. She was a member of Double Branches Baptist Church and was formerly employed with Riegel Manufacturing. Mrs. Haynes loved quilting, baking cakes, with her specialty being old fashion fruit cakes. She also loved being outside in the fresh air and watching golf on television. Survivors include one daughter, Inez H. Reese and husband, John of Lincolnton; two sons, Scott Haynes and Colin Haynes, both of Lincolnton; two granddaughters, Sandra R. Gasparovic and husband, Mike of Townville, S.C., Nancy R. Jones and husband, Mitch of Evans, GA.; two great granddaughters, Samantha and Mallory Jones of Evans; four sisters, Prudie H. Tankersley, Julia H. Reese and husband, Billy of Lincolnton, Lou McWilliams and husband, Roland of Birmingham, AL., Patsy Clement and husband, Sonny of Evans. Mrs. Haynes was preceded in death by her husband, Horace H. Haynes; two brothers, H.M. Holloway and Allen Holloway; two sisters, Ellen Tankersley and Ernestine Bohler.
