McCormick S.C. – Rebecca Ann "Becky" Hall peacefully passed into the open and waiting arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 23,  2023.

A Celebration of Life Service in her honor will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Lincolnton Baptist Church with Pastor Tripp Goodwin officiating. The family will receive friends in the sanctuary from 1:00 until the hour of service.

Rebecca was the first of Lester and June Hamrick's five children, and was born on December 4, 1942 in Gallipolis, OH. She moved to Pleasantville, OH when she was 2, and graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1960. Rebecca then went to The Ohio State University, where she pursued a degree in teaching, graduating with her bachelor's degree in 1964. Rebecca continued her education at Morehead State University in Kentucky, graduating with her Masters degree in 1971.

Rebecca married her husband, David Hall, on July 3, 1969, and they remained together in life until the day she died. Rebecca spent her entire life serving others – as the elder sister, a camp counselor, a teacher in both school and church, and a dear friend. Rebecca was a devout Christian who deeply loved and honored God. She was a beloved member of the congregation at Lincolnton Baptist Church In Lincolnton, Ga where she will always be remembered.

Rebecca had a wonderful sense of humor, and always made everyone around her feel better. Some of Rebecca's favorite past times included singing in the Church Choir, reading, and baking. Rebecca also loved spending time with family and friends. Rebecca loved nature and the outdoors, and spent almost 30 summers in the backwoods of Canada, living in a cabin she and David helped build together.

Rebecca is survived by her husband David, as well as two siblings - Jane (Bruce) Briggs of Summerville SC, and Grace (Dan) Entingh of Dayton OH, and several nieces and nephews.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents Lester Hamrick and June Hamrick, her brother Richard Hamrick as well as her sister Kaye Porter.

Memorial donations can be made to the Lincolnton Baptist Church, P.O. Box 357, Lincolnton, GA 30817.
