LINCOLNTON, GA - Mr. Robert David "Bob" Cass, 87, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, GA.

The funeral service with military honors will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Victory Baptist Church in Washington, GA with Rev. Jimmy Chapman officiating. Mr. Cass body will be interred in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the men of Victory Baptist Church.

Mr. Cass body will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

Mr. Cass was the son of the late Calvan Edison and Samantha Dickson Cass of Abbott, AR. He was a veteran and served his country with honor in the United States Army and one year in the United States Navy. He attended Victory Baptist Church and retired after 26 years as a truck driver with H.H. Ledyard Trucking. Mr. Cass came out of retirement and was employed by Santa Cruz Medical Center for ten years where he transported patients to their medical appointments. After moving to Lincolnton, he enjoyed meeting his friends for coffee at Hardee's.

Survivors included two daughters, Dianne Holtzclaw and husband, Jesse of Cartersville, GA and Robin Jones of Lincolnton, GA; two grandsons, Jeff Jones and Chris Jones; and one sister, Flossy Keylock of California.

Mr. Cass was also preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Cass.
