LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. Robert B. Spears, 76, of Dunwoody Landing entered into rest on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Spears was the son of the late Percy Minor and Mary Inez Babbitt Spears. He was owner of Spears Neon Signs, a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Double Branches Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Double Branches Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Etheridge officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Black, Lonnie Pierce, Bob Ranck, Bob Spears, Jr., John Spears and Cliff Weeks. Survivors include his wife, Patricia I. Spears; three children, Deborah Hobbs of Nashville, TN., Terry Edward Spears and wife, Louise of Camak, GA., Robert B. Spears, Jr. and wife, Jennifer of North Carolina; three step-children, Cynthia Ranck and husband, Bob of Augusta GA., Steven Crosby and wife, Pam of Martinez GA., Andrea Weeks and husband, Cliff of Waynesboro, GA.; sister-in-law, Nettie Spears of Waycross, GA.; sixteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
