LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. Robert "Jerry" Stone, 87 entered into rest on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2016 at Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. James James officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Levi Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, Tanner Dant, Stephen Kane, Jake Lewis and Andrew Hogue.
Mr. Stone born June 29, 1929 in Lake City, S.C. and was the son of the late Robert Benjamin Stone and the late Senna Mae Hayes Stone. He was retired construction superintendent with McDevitt & Street Construction Company and served his country with honor in the Korean War. Mr. Stone was a member of Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church and served as vice-president of the Lincoln County Historical Society.
Survivors include his wife of 63 1/2 years Marietta Reese Stone; three daughters, Jerry Lynne Kane and husband, Craig and Rose Marie Parsley both of Lincolnton, GA., Cecilia Dale Johnson and husband, Billy of Evans, GA.; nine grandchildren, Jordan Kane Dant and husband, Tanner of Harlem, GA., Stephen Craig Kane and wife, Linda of Evans, GA., Jessie Reese Kane of Grovetown, GA., Emily Johnson Lewis and husband, Jake of Valdosta, GA., Levi Morgan Johnson, Lydia Juanita Johnson and Jeremiah Johnson all of Evans, GA. Jade Marie Parsley and Brooklyn James Parsley both of Auburn, AL.; three great grandchildren, Silas, Russell and Annie Dant all of Harlem, GA.; one brother, Henry Stone and wife, Mary of Callahan, FL.; three sisters, June Bowman of Macon, GA., Margie Beck and husband, Luke of Bryon, GA. and Sarah Wilbanks and husband, Carlton of Bonaire, GA.
Mr. Stone was also preceded in death by a son, Cecil Lanier Stone; brother, Frank Stone and two sisters, Ethelee Skidmore and Juanita Ziarko.
