WASHINGTON, GA. -- Mr. Rodney Gayle Roberson, 55 of Bailey Rd. entered into rest on Friday, July 25, 2014. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Washington with Rev. Albert H. Huyck and Rev. Kevin Madden officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Burt Goolsby, Barry Goolsby, Brett McAvoy, Benji McAvoy, Manuel Bailey and Dexter Searles. Mr. Roberson was a truck driver and a farmer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Washington. Survivors include his wife, Penny Bailey Roberson; parents, Gayle Roberson and Willie McAvoy Roberson of Washington; daughter, Toni Roberson Callaway and husband, Tom of Washington; son, Scotty Ryan Roberson and wife, Mandy of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Shelby Thomas Callaway, Emma Lee Callaway, Bailyn Hunter Roberson, and Mattie Ryan Roberson; step granddaughter, Cheyenne Keller; two brothers, Tommy Roberson and wife, Rhonda of Washington and Kevin Roberson of Washington; niece, Kayley Roberson and nephew, Lathan Roberson.
