LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mrs. Rosalyn Spratlin Hawkins, 87 entered into rest on Saturday, August 10, 2013. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2013 at the Lincolnton United Methodist Church with Rev. James Bocian officiating. Interment will follow in the Lincolnton City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Aycock, Marion Aycock, Jeff Bridges, Jerry Power, John "Johnny" Spratlin III and John Spratlin IV, Marcus Spratlin, Jr. and Rusty Spratlin. Mrs. Hawkins was the daughter of the late John Webb Spratlin and the late Lucia Ward Spratlin. She was a proud graduate of the University of Georgia and was a homemaker for most of her life. She later worked at Spratlin Brothers Hardware until her retirement. Mrs. Hawkins was a member of the Lincolnton United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-laws, Cara and Robert Smalley of Augusta, GA. and Preston and Don Taliaferro of Griffin, GA.; four grandchildren, Jennifer S. and Alex Yankowsky of Marietta, GA., Jill S. and Steve Cosgrove of Marietta, Elizabeth T. and Michael Head of McDonough, GA. and John Taliaferro of Augusta, GA.; and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Hawkins was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, John R.
