LINCOLNTON, GA - Mr. Charles Russell Reese, 91, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at his residence on Price Reese Road.

The funeral and interment services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Martin's Crossroads CH Church with Bishop Ronald Wilson and Rev. Thomas Burton officiating. There will be a private burial at the Lincolnton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Sunday in the church sanctuary.

Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Ryan Reese, John Welch, Thomas Burton, Forrest Edge, Burton Edge, Thurman Edge, Caden Pursley and Will Shelton.

Mr. Reese was the son of the late Charlie Ross Reese and Eunice Haynes Reese and retired as a construction superintendent with Beers Construction. He was a wood craftsman, avid gardener and restorer of antique tractors and classic vehicles. Mr. Reese had served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Korean War. He served as a member of The Gideons International and member of Martin's Crossroads CH Church, where he was also awarded as a LIfetime Deacon at his home church.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Carol Martin Reese; children, Charles Dwayne Reese and wife, Hilda and Denise Reese Hamrick and husband, Mil, all of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Thomas Russell Burton and wife, Erin of Johnson City, TN, Nikki Welch and husband, John of Lincolnton, GA., Ryan Reese and wife, Ashlyn of Evans, GA. and Carrie Burton Edge and husband, Forrest of Soperton, GA., Will Shelton and wife, Whittney and Jodi Judy and husband, Jonathan both of Wrens, GA.; fourteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Reese Edmunds of Hickory, NC, Marietta Reese Stone, Myra Reese Griffith, both of Lincolnton, Emily Reese Leckie of North Augusta, S.C., Eugenia Reese Enlow and husband, Chester of Graniteville, S.C., Barbara Reese LeRoy and husband, Lamar, Jack Reese and wife, Jamie, Carol Reese Cox, Eddie Reese, and Shearell Reese Scott and husband, Alvin, all of Lincolnton, GA; and numerous other family members. Mr. Reese was also preceded in death along with his parents, by three brothers, Douglas Marshall Reese, Jerry Blanchard Reese and Leon Morgan Reese.
