LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mrs. Sarah Cawley Parton, 61, of Parton Dr. entered into rest on Friday, May 8, 2015 at her residence. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2015 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Thomas Moon and Rev. John Belangia officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Saggus, Addison Belangia, Lee Cawley, Preston Parton, Aaron Parton, Robert Flanigan and Shane Lamar. Mrs. Parton was the daughter of the late George Melvin Cawley and the late Rosa Mae Wells Cawley of Lincolnton. She was previously employed at Oxford Manufacturing and later retired as a cashier at Walmart after 10 years. Mrs. Parton loved the Lord and was a faithful and devoted member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church. She was a former teacher of the Youth Sunday School Class and the church's record keeper. Mrs. Parton enjoyed traveling to the mountains and she cherished the time spent with her family. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Stanley R. Parton; one daughter, Crystal P. Fox and husband, Warren of Augusta; one son, Furman E. Parton and wife, Josie of McCormick, S.C.; two grandchildren, Michael Tyler Fox and Jacob Isaac Fox; one brother, Edward Cawley of Washington; one sister, Brenda C. Cartledge and husband, Mack of Thomson; father-in-law, Ray A. Parton of Lincolnton; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Parton was also preceded in death by her grandson, Collin Edward Parton; brother, Melvin Cawley; and mother-in-law, Hazel I. Parton. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to T.
