ATLANTA, GA. - Mr. Scottie E. King, 46, entered into rest on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the Halcyon Hospice House in Atlanta, GA. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2015 at New Tabernacle Baptist Church at 1887 Tabernacle Church Rd., Lincolnton, GA. with Rev. Denise Freeman officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Phil Norman, Ben Clark, Mark Wallace, Ronnie Norman, Donnie Norman, Manuel Bailey and Bruce Rowland. Serving as honorary flower ladies will be Sharon Clark, Michelle Wynn, Denise Clark, Tye Holloway, Diane Dekreon and LCHS Class of 1987. Mr. King was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served his country with honor. After his service in the Navy he was self-employed as a truck driver. Survivors include his wife, Angelia Leverett King; three daughters, Caressa Jones of Lincolnton; Sharee Robinson of Albany, GA. and Yasmeen Robinson of Anderson, S.C.; one son, Benjamin Robinson of Anderson, S.C.; four grandchildren, Alexcia Latimer, Destiny Latimer, Zo'e Ryan Robinson and Brayden Robinson; parents, Johnny E. King and Emma Lee Norman King; five sisters, Harriet Faye King Brehm and husband, Robert of Lincolnton, Rugenia King of Lincolnton and Ayanna Wells and husband, Andre of Grovetown, GA. Jean Leverett and husband, Nathaniel of Lincolnton, Bertha Cullars and husband, Terry of Lincolnton; one brother, Bruce Bernard King and wife, Melissa of Greenwood, S.C.; three nieces, Gwanettia Bari, Juya King and Micailah Wells; four nephews, Jantzen Stroman, Trey Glaze, Jay Wells and Mir Wells; and a God nephew, Jadis Ballard.
