WASHINGTON, GA. - Mrs. Sherry Wallace Newsome, 63, of 3583 Thomson Rd. entered into rest on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at her residence. The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Leonard Dupree and Rev. Jimmy Newsome officiating. Mrs. Newsome was the daughter of the late Henry Newton Wallace and Blanche Henderson Wallace of Lincolnton, GA. She was a devoted caregiver and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, G.B. Newsome, Jr.; one son, Burt Newsome of Washington, GA.; two daughters, Rebecca Shane Gaines of Nicholson, GA. and Shannon Elizabeth Thomason of Tignall, GA.;three grandchildren, Trace Newsome, Tanner Barnett and Taylor McAvoy; brother, Garnett Wallace and wife, Jackie of Lincolnton; sister, Nan W. Goff and husband, Mickey of McCormick S.C.
