MARTINEZ, GA. - Mrs. Shirley Martin Ivey, 75, of Greenfield Abbey Court entered into rest on Monday, July 22, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital in Augusta. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Rees Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Danner officiating. Interment will be in Hephzibah Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Polk, Carl Ivey, Phil Ivey, Kirk Neeley, Marion Butler and Jared Polk. Mrs. Ivey was the daughter of the late Herman Olive Martin and the late Evelyn Guy Martin of Lincolnton, GA. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, John M. Ivey; daughter, Cappy Ivey Polk and husband, Jerry of Holly Springs, N.C. and son, Martin Thomas Ivey of Martinez, GA.; two grandchildren, Alexandria Polk and Jared Polk; several nieces and nephews.
