Ms. Tara Jan Beckwith, 67, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 31, 2026 at her residence on Jamaica Court.

   Ms. Beckwith was the daughter of John George Beckwith, Jr. and the late Martha Ann Simpson Hamilton. She had retired after fourteen years of service as a paralegal with Plunkett, Hamilton, Manton & Graves Law Firm. Tara loved the lake life and the beauty that surrounded her along with her two Basset Hounds that she shared her lake home with.

   Tara was also survived by a son, Hayes Taylor of The Woodlands, Texas; two sisters, Susan Strom and husband, Lee of McCormick, SC and Jama Duckett and husband, Mike of Ninety Six, SC; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

   The family will honor the life of Tara Jan Beckwith with a Celebration of Life Service that will be held at a later date.
