LINCOLNTON, GA - Mr. Thomas Wesley "Pete" Davidson, 83, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at his residence on Pleasant View Circle.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in the Pine Grove United Methodist Church sanctuary. The Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bart Grey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Quarles, Thomas Drew Davidson, Corey Rickerson, Austin Curley, Guy Sample and Dustin Clark.

Mr. Davidson was born October 11, 1939 and was the son of the late Clinton Clyde Davidson and the late Lucille Gray Davidson. He had retired as a machinist with Georgia Iron Works and was a faithful member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church. T.W. or "Pete" as everyone knew him was an avid outdoorsman that loved fishing,  hunting and a game of horseshoes. He and his wife, Dorothy enjoyed the lake life along with their family get-togethers and cookouts.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 47 years, Dorothy "Dot" Davidson; children, Thomas Wesley Davidson, Jr. and wife, Candi of Augusta, GA., Linda Davidson Sparks and husband, Cletus of Augusta, Donna Rogers, Lee McClendon, Mike McClendon and wife, Suzanne, and Tina Sample all of Lincolnton; sister, Juanita Coufal; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Mr. Davidson was also preceded in death his siblings, Evelyn NIxon, Carolyn Bargeron, Lois Scott, Ina Scoler and Robert Davidson; and a son, Steven Wilken.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pine Grove United Methodist Church, in care of Ms. Kay Remsen,  1987 Reed Road, Lincolnton, GA. 30817.
