IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Vernon C.
Adams
June 16, 1935 – May 31, 2022
WASHINGTON, GA - Mr. Vernon Cade Adams, 86, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Wills Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Adams was the son of the late Reuben and Mollie Saxon Adams. He was a veteran and had served his country with honor in the United States Air Force and retired after many years in the funeral service profession. Vernon or "Bampaw" as he was so affectionately named by his grandchildren had many interests that included golf, gardening that he shared his harvest with his neighbors and feeding and watching the birds from his yard. Vernon took pride in manicuring and keeping his lawn to perfection. He also did lawn maintenance for many families throughout Wilkes County and for the elderly until his health started to decline. Vernon enjoyed life to the fullest and was somewhat of a practical jokester, playing jokes and pranks on many of his family and friends.
Survivors include one daughter, Kelli Adams Hardin and husband, Steve of Evans, Ga., son-in- law, Joe Batrous of Thomson; five grandchildren, Hannah DeMore and husband, Donny, Joseph Batrous and wife, Jena, Cade Hardin and wife, Megan, Rachel Hardin and Jacob Hardin and wife, Caroline; five great grandchildren, Banks, Jase, Emmie, Anna Kate, and Sadie Jo; and a special friend, Joyce Brown. Mr. Adams was also preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Jackie Banks Adams; daughter, Vicki Adams Batrous; four brothers, Lawrence Adams, Arnold Adams, Carl Adams and O'Neil Adams; and one sister, Maude Adams Mortti.
If so desired memorial contributions may be made to Sardis Baptist Church, in care of Mrs. Pam Hall, 4915 Lexington Road, Rayle, GA 30660.
