Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Mosley and Ada Mildred Wright. His is survived by his wife Grace Deason Wright whom he dearly loved and was devoted to for 72 years. He is also survived by his children Glenn Wright (Donalyn) of McCormick, SC, Pam Parton of Lincolnton, GA; and Judy Craft of Concord, NC.

Wallace began his textile career at McCormick Mill in 1950. In 1968, he joined Greenwood Textile Mills. Within 8 years he advanced to superintendent of Greenwood Mills #5, where he retired on January 2, 1998 with 30 years of employment. During his life he divided his time between God, his job, his family and his country. Wallace served in the McCormick National Guard 125th Floating Bridge Company from 1953 to 1959 and was a devoted member of First Assembly of God, Lincolnton, GA where he enjoyed sharing his love of playing the guitar.

Wallace enjoyed planting and growing a garden every year. When April arrived, he would begin tilling the soil to prepare it for planting seeds. He was an early riser and would be working in the garden many mornings well before 6:30. Many local folks would call to place orders for his corn, tomatoes, green beans and more, long before the crops were harvested. He took much pride in the rows of corn he grew. It was tall, green, beautiful and delicious!

Another hobby that Wallace enjoyed was woodworking. His shop was filled with many tools that he used to make furniture, from large trunks for each of his children, gun cabinets for several of his grandsons to other items such as side tables and dough bowls. He spent countless hours in his shop doing what he loved.

He is affectionately known as Pa Pa, and leaves behind his 6 grandchildren Aaron, Mandy, Josh, Joel, Preston and Ryan; and his 12 great grandchildren: Lane, RJ, Gracie, Emory, Kashton, Henry, Ethan, Logan, Ilah, Ralph, Paisley and Easton. Wallace also leaves behind his sister, Annette Wright Blanchett of Abbeville, SC, who he always had a special relationship with.

The Wright family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Agape Hospice Care of Greenwood, SC and also to their priceless caregivers: Annie Wells, Ammi Williams, Shirley Turner, Margaret Tufino and Staci Millett.
