LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. Watson Scott Haynes, 72, of Ashmore Barden Rd. entered into rest on Monday, November 18, 2013 at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington, GA. The family will meet prior to the service at Double Branches Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. for the graveside service with Rev. Elliott Smith officiating. Mr. Haynes was the son of the late Horace Hampton Haynes and the late Rachel Holloway Haynes. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a retired logger. Survivors include one brother, Colin Haynes of Lincolnton; one sister, Inez H. Reese and husband, John of Lincolnton; two nieces, Sandra R. Gasparovic and husband, Mike of Townville, S.C. and Nancy R. Jones and husband, Mitch of Evans, GA.; two great nieces, Samantha and Mallory Jones of Evans. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the caregivers, Annie Hogan, Melinda West, Joann Hunt, Mary Yarbough, Gloria Mattox, Sarah Lee Norman and the staff at Wills Memorial Hospital who provided such excellent care for Scott.
