February 13, 1966 – September 14, 2025
Mr. Wesley O'Merle Lindley, 59 entered into eternal rest at his residence on Wendell Ct. in Grovetown, GA on Sunday, September 14, 2025.
The celebration of life service will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at McCormick Methodist Church with William D. "Bo" Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Overbrook Cemetery in McCormick. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday in the McCormick Methodist Church sanctuary.
Serving as pallbearers will be Neil White, Burke Hutto, Gene Hutto, Bret Cathey, James Lindley and Gip Lindley, III. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Greg Seigler and members of the Woodmen of the World.
Wesley was the son of the late Samuel Cade Lindley and Mary Eddie Bouknight Lindley. He was a selfless and giving person with a happy go lucky attitude. Wesley would give you the shirt off his back and expect nothing in return. One of his hobbies was barbecuing known as the "Pit Boss", where he competed and won several awards. He also enjoyed woodworking, thrift shopping and collecting cars. Wesley was a Christian raised in the McCormick Methodist Church. In his younger years he worked as a service station attendant, car mechanic and construction. Later on he drove semi-trucks for several companies. His last profession was with Dixieland Walls in Grovetown, GA. Wesley was a member of Woodmen of the World in Troy, SC.
Survivors include wife, Elizabeth C. "Carol" Reasor; brother, Samuel Barnes "Barney" Lindley of Cayce, SC; two sisters, Rebecca "Becky" Eddie Lindley Heard and husband, Stan of McCormick, SC and Wendy Lindley Davis and Mike of Lincolnton, GA; two nephews, Aiken Edward Davis of Roswell, GA and Daniel Lagroon of Lawrenceville, GA; and one niece, Becca Eloise Lagroon and Blake of Abbeville, SC.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Hospice, 4106 Columbia Rd., Suite 201, Martinez, GA 30907.
