Mr. Wellmaker retired as vice president of operations for Cathcart Allied Van LInes and served his country with honor in the United States Army. He was a faithful member of Hephzibah Baptist Church and a former member of Clairmont Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA.

Survivors include three sons, William M. "Bill" Wellmaker, Jr. and fiance' Virginia Bunn of Loganville, GA., Richard C. Wellmaker of Atlanta, GA. and Stephen M. Wellmaker and wife, Angie of Grayson, GA.; four grandchildren, William "Caleb" Wellmaker, Victoria "Tori" Wellmaker, Jennifer Rodriguez and Ryan Stacy and three great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Hephzibah Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Danner and Rev. Jeremy Bunnell officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Caleb Wellmaker, Ryan Stacy, Luke Bunn, Brian Jamieson, Charles Bush and Ashton Jamieson.
