CRAWFORDVILLE, GA - Mr. Willie Crawford Nunn, Jr., 72, entered into eternal rest with the family by his bedside on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the residence on Hillman Road.
The funeral service will be a 11 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2019 at Sandy Cross Baptist Church with Rev. John Autry and Rev. Larry Davison officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Justin Tucker, George Nunn, Jr., Colt Nunn, Seth Nunn; and friends of the family Ryan Vandiver and Danny Thornton.
Mr. Nunn was the son of the late Willie Crawford Nunn, Sr. and the late Etta Mae Roth Nunn. He was a native of Taliaferro County and a resident of the Sandy Cross community since 1965. Mr. Nunn was a graduate of Alexander Stephens Institute in Crawfordville. He was a family man that lived and worked to provide for the family that he loved and was a member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church. Willie started farming at an early age and been a dairyman and had his dairy farm for over 40 years. Willie had many interest that included his model train collection and he loved looking after and taking care of his horses.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 54 years, Gloria Elaine Wheeler Nunn; children, Angie Carani and husband Brad of Crawfordville, Willie C. Nunn, III of Fairview, OK, Lori Beggs and husband, Kirby of Crawfordville, Matt Nunn and wife, Kim of Crawfordville, Adam Nunn and wife, Denise of Fairview, OK, Yvonne Tucker and and husband, Brad of Washington, GA, Wayne Nunn and wife, Shannon of Watkinsville, GA, George Nunn and wife, Crystal of Crawfordville, Sam Nunn and wife, Mechelle of Crawfordville, Shiloh Nunn and husband, Eric of Jacksonville, FL, Brandon Nunn and wife, Darcy of Lula, GA, and Levi Nunn and wife, Hollie of Thomson, GA; thirty-two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Jewell Griffin of Washington, brother, Larry Nunn of Washington, sister, Brenda Harrison of Washington, and sister, Pam Gunter of Washington. Mr. Nunn along with his parents was preceded in death by a son, Larry Daniel Nunn and a daughter, Shannon Dawn Nunn.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Sandy Cross Baptist Church.
