LINCOLNTON, GA. - Mr. Wyatt Bernard Albea, Jr., 80, of Double Branches Rd. entered into rest on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at his residence. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Lincolnton United Methodist Church with Rev. James Bocian and Rev. Linda Jones officiating. Interment will be in Double Branches Church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Maxcy Nolan, IV, Sean Price Nolan, Christopher Michael Kavouklis, Mike Dawkins, Bruce Turner and Jerry Stone. Mr. Albea was born January 1, 1933 and was the son of the late Wyatt Bernard Albea, Sr. and the late Alice Guillebeau Albea. He graduated Lincolnton High School in 1950 and from the University of Georgia in 1954 and obtained his master's degree in 1957. Mr. Albea served in the United States Air Force for two years, Air Force reserve for 30 years and retired as Lieutenant Colonel in 1979. He taught Geometry in the Athens/Clarke County school system for 30 years and retired in 1984. Wyatt was a member of the Lincoln County Historical Society and served as treasurer for many years. He was a member of the Lincolnton United Methodist Church and was treasurer for the Men's Club for many years. Mr. Albea also served on the board of directors at Farmers State Bank. Survivors include his wife of 58 years Nina Price Albea; two daughters, Alice Marie "Ree" Kavouklis and husband, Mike of Athens, GA. and Patricia Ann "Trish" Nolan and husband, Maxcy of Seneca, S.C.; four grandchildren, Britt and Sean Nolan and Christopher and Amanda Kavouklis; three great grandchildren, Louisa Mae "Lucy" Nolan, June Elizabeth Nolan and Camille Jane Nolan.
